Expert Recovery and Rehabilitation

We bring modern technology and centruy old techniques together to treat our patients.

How we treat patients

Step 1: When you walk into our office, our awesome bilingual receptionists greet you. Then you get to fill out some easy paperwork which asks a about your history related to your injury, how you heard about us, and some other basic information. It takes about 5 minutes to fill out unless your were involved in a car accident, in which case it takes between 10 and 15 minutes.

Step 2: After that, our doctor takes you into their office to sit down and look over your case, complete an orthopedic exam, and determine if an X-ray is needed to better diagnose the problem. Something great about Cascade Spinal Rehab Center is we have an X-ray machine in the office, so it’s really convenient for you if you end up needing an X-ray. Finally, the doctor creates an objective diagnosis based on all the data and gives you a verbal report of the findings.

Step 3: Following the diagnosis the doctor creates and executes a treatment plan. A basic treatment plan could include a chiropractic adjustment and massage therapy. Everything is determined on a case-by-case basis. More extensive treatments may include a chiropractic adjustment, massage therapy, electric stimulation with a heat or ice pack, and in-office therapeutic exercises on our MedX machines.

What is a MedX machine?

MedX™ is a brand of highly sophisticated muscle rehabilition equipment. These machines were designed to accurately measure and strengthen isolated muscle groups. While using the machine, a computer measures and records the strength of specific muscles. Over time, you and our chiropractors get to see documented progress through the rehabilitation process.

Research shows that using MedX Lumbar and Cervical Extension Machines simply help people get better, even when other forms of treatment failed. There are more than 75 published articles in peer-reviewed journals showing the efficacy of these machines. Cascade Spinal Rehab Center is one of the only chiropractic offices in Provo that utilizes this technology.

Should I go to a chiropractor after a car accident?

You should see a chiropractor after an auto accident regardless of who was at fault. Even minor car accidents can cause whiplash or other injuries, and if you don’t treat them, that minor injury can quickly cause major damage in the future. Some experts say you shouldn’t wait longer than 72 hours after the incident to see a chiropractor. Take care of the other steps before worrying too much about finding a good chiropractor.

Most people have the ability to choose between a chiropractor or a physician when seeking treatment. Chiropractic care is a great option because it’s more homeopathic than other treatments like prescription drugs or surgery. These treatments are more invasive than chiropractic care. Plus, your Utah auto insurance plan covers up to $3,000 in medical expenses including chiropractic treatment.

How long should I see a chiropractor after an accident?

Every case is unique to each individual patient. The amount of adjustment, therapy, and rehabilitation is dependent upon the extent of a patient’s injuries. Sometimes it can be a couple visits, but it usually takes anywhere between 6 weeks to 6 months. Your chiropractor will track your recovery and reassess as needed throughout your rehabilitation journey.

Who pays for chiropractic care if I was in an accident?

We’ll tell you who doesn’t pay, you. Your auto insurance covers up to $3,000 of treatment, so you don’t owe anything out of pocket. It doesn’t matter who was at fault, you’re still covered for chiropractic treatment. Don’t stress too much though. We’ll guide you through the process of making an insurance claim.
